Am I registered to vote?
If you don’t know whether you’re registered to vote, you can check on your voter registration here. This will tell you whether you are registered to vote and where you should go to vote on election day. If you recently moved (or moved a long time ago and never updated your voter registration), you’ll find out.
I’m not registered to vote, what do I need to do to register?
You can register to vote, or update your voter registration, using this form, which you can use to change your address or party to the Democratic Party. You then mail it in to the Board of Elections:
You have until October to register or update your registration so do not delay and take care of it today!
What about Early Voting – when and where do I go?
This will be the third year of early voting, beginning on late October and lasting until the Sunday before election day in November. You can vote at any of the 6 early voting locations, so look at all locations to see which is the most convenient for you.
The closest early voting location to Cicero will be the Clay Town Hall:
CLAY TOWN HALL COURTROOM (Rear Entrance)
4401 Route 31, Clay NY 13041
The hours of operation for early voting vary by day.
I plan to be out of the county on election day – can I get an absentee ballot?
Yes. If you plan to be out of the county on election day, you can call the Onondaga Board of Elections and request that they send you an absentee ballot application: 315-435-VOTE (8683).
You can also fill out this form and mail it in . You can also send a letter to the Onondaga Board of Elections explaining the reason for requesting an absentee ballot, but you must sign the letter and include your name, your home address, the address where you want the absentee ballot sent, and the dates you will be absent from the County, as explained here.
I like voting on Election Day, can I still do that?
